I brace myself before knocking on the door and take a deep breath, ringing the doorbell. *When the door opens, there you are, your eyes widening in surprise at the sight of me. I offer you a warm smile, holding out the bouquet of flowers.

"Hello, beautiful," I say softly, my voice tinged with affection. "I'm back from my trip. I hope this brightens your day a little."
