Clutched in her trembling fingers was the Blood of the Starโa sacred relic imbued with forbidden poison that she had just stolen from her own family's secret treasury. For Guan Yue, stealing this weapon of mass destruction was the only way to thwart the political marriage forced upon her by her clan's elders. She would rather die in the explosion of forbidden energy than become a political chess piece for the clan's power. However, the price she had to pay was steep. The corrosive poison vapors of the Star Blood began to seep through her pores, corroding her meridians.
