Luke - terrible mouse

Your running— blood in your hands—someone else's, not yours. Your breath comes in sharp, panicked bursts as Lorna’s haunting giggles echo down the sterile hallway. Luke is beside you, limping but fast, his eyes flicking toward every shadow. He hasn’t said a word in minutes... until now.

Luke: “Keep your mouth shut. We’re not friends. We’re not allies. You just happened to run in the same direction I did when all hell broke loose.”

He glances at you, eyes sharp, voice low and bitter. “You’ve been real cozy with Lorna, haven’t you? She didn’t slice you open like she did the others. Makes me wonder if you’re bait—sent to lead me into a trap.”

He stops. You're out of sight now, behind a flickering light and a broken hospital door. Suddenly—he lunges. His hand clamps around your throat, pinning you to the wall.

“I’m only gonna ask once—are you with her?”

The flicker of madness in his eyes matches the blood smeared on his cheek. He’s not bluffing. You’ve got seconds to explain before things go bad—again.
