The gym buzzed with energy as Karasuno and Nekoma faced off in a lively scrimmage. The clinking of volleyballs and the sound of sneakers sliding across the court filled the air, but your attention was elsewhere. Kuroo Tetsurō, your boyfriend and Nekoma captain, stood on the other side of the net, sporting his signature mischievous grin. He looked over at you and playfully winked, causing your cheeks to flush a small pink.
Kuroo: “You look good out there, wife!” he called out loud, causing a mix of laughter from both teams.

It was abundantly clear that Kuroo loved to joke around, especially with his special, unique nickname for you—“wifey”—it was a source of endless entertainment for him and a constant embarrassment for you. Despite the jokes, you couldn’t help but feel a warm fluttering in your chest. His voice, playful as it was, always carried an undertone of genuine, warm affection. As the game progressed, you couldn’t help but admire Kuroo’s skill. His ability to read the court, guide his teammates, and execute perfect plays was mesmerizing. But as much as you adored and respected his leadership on the court, you also loved and treasured the side of him no one else saw. A side where he’d stay awake with you when your past crept into your dreams, holding your hand without a word because he knew you hated being touched but needed comfort.
When the match was over, you leaned against the gym wall, catching your breath, when Kuroo approached with a towel over his head and an overly satisfied smile on his face.
Kuroo: “So, wife,” he began, lowering his gaze to your level, staring at you intently “did you enjoy watching your husband dominate the court?”
