Nino Nakano (中なか野の 二に乃の, Nakano Nino) is the second sister of the Nakano Quintuplets. She usually acts as the mother of the family, cooking for them and taking care of their medical needs. Among the five sisters, she bears the most hostility towards Fuutarou Uesugi and often rebels against him early on in the series.

Currently, like with Miku, Niño is 18 years old and is close to turning 19.

Nino is a cute and cool-looking girl with waist-length straight hair (later cut to shoulder length in Vol. 4 Ch. 46 and shown in Vol. 5 Ch. 47), and square bangs hanging over her eyebrows. She has reddish-pink hair, ranging from light pink to telemagenta in Volume 1 and antique pink to reddish-violet in Volume 4.

Her notable accessories are twin butterfly-shaped headbands on either side of her head. Like her sisters, she has dark blue eyes, average height, and an excellent figure. She wears a long-sleeved sweater over her uniform and a pair of white thigh-high socks. She wears contact lenses to address her poor eyesight. Both she and Ichika carry a handbag.

She's known for being the most fashionable among the sisters, as she has several cute accessories and takes care of her nails. Nino has a bunny-shaped phone case. Nino is shown to be able to cook, and she makes cookies with cute designs. She also has cute oven mitts.

Nino is the only sister who has not yet pierced her ears, however, she plans to do so before she gets married.

In the five-year time jump, Nino slightly modifies her appearance by having her hair tied back in two pigtails tied with a thick hairband, which are located parallel to both sides of her head.

Nino has an extroverted and social personality, which gives her many friends, noted by Yotsuba who calls her a "social butterfly". Ichika comments that she is the most delicate among the sisters. Nino has a sharp tongue and speaks bluntly when confronting others, even her sisters. Her rebellious attitude makes her the least cooperative girl among the sisters.

Despite her cold and gruff exterior, Nino is caring and protective. This is also evident in her willingness to act as the family cook, disregarding her own appearance (cooking activities can lead to unpleasant smells, damaged nails, etc.). She is also shown to always carry bandages with her, possibly as a precaution for Yotsuba's active behavior. Despite her maternal nature, Nino can be forgetful at times and is afraid of needles.

Fuutarou's story moves Nino to tears. Nino finds the story touching.

Nino is more interested in a romantic movie, while Itsuki prefers the science documentary.

Nino prefers black tea because it can be customized to suit his mood. Nino usually uses a lot of sugar in his tea.

According to Fuutarou, each quintuplet has her own characteristics regarding her papers. In Nino's case, she files her papers carefully.

According to Ichika, Fuutarou needs to be firm when dealing with Nino and kind when dealing with Itsuki.

Nino's dream reveals that she wants to open her own restaurant, and it has been her dream since she was a child.

Ability Academically, among the sisters, Nino ranks at the bottom of the five, with English being her strongest subject.

Nino has been shown to be a good cook, from everyday meals to cookies and congee. She is able to make many friends, as noted by Yotsuba Nakano, who called her a "social butterfly." According to Nino, the sisters have individual preferences, which makes it difficult for her to cook for them.

She has poor eyesight, so she needs contact lenses for her daily activities. Despite having many friends, she is unable to recognize Fuutarou wearing a simple wig, implying her alien side. However, this is possibly due to her darker surroundings and her crush on a blond-haired Fuutarou.

Miku Nakano (中なか野の 三み玖く, , Nakano Miku?) is the third sister of the Nakano quintuplets. Due to Fuutarou's influence, she is the first of the sisters to befriend him.

In this story, Miku is 18 years old and is almost 19.

Miku is a generally emotionless girl with medium-length auburn hair that has strands hanging over the right side of her face (ranging from light pink to antique pink in Volume 1, and pearl pink to beige brown in Volume 4). Her notable accessory is a set of wireless headphones that have a triangle-shaped logo on the earcups (Audio-Technica). Like her sisters, she has dark blue eyes, is of average height, and has a good figure.

Miku usually wears a long-sleeved sweater that covers her uniform. She also wears black tights and wears headphones around her neck. Most of the time, she has part of her bangs covering her right eye. Miku has a Japanese-themed room.

It is noticeable that Miku has little sense of modesty and cares less about her appearance.

In the five-year time jump, Miku radically changes her appearance, leaving aside her headphones, having long, straight hair and having modified her hairstyle to have bangs divided into two long, thick strands placed parallel that leave her forehead exposed.

Miku is a quiet and reserved girl who has a pessimistic outlook and low self-confidence, even to the point of self-deprecation. Fuutarou points out that Miku lacks faith in herself. Contrary to her reserved nature, she can speak directly and doesn't hesitate to confront others.

Miku has an obsession with the generals of the Sengoku period. She is heavily influenced by their philosophies, to the point of affecting her behavior in real life. Miku hides this fact from everyone and is embarrassed when Fuutarou finds out.

Among the Sengoku generals, Miku's favorite is Takeda Shingen. This is hinted at many times throughout the series. She sets Takeda's logo as her phone's wallpaper. She often quotes the verses of Fūrinkazan, which was the war banner used by Takeda Shingen. When Fuutarou challenged Miku to a historical knowledge duel, Miku is depicted wearing armor identical to Takeda Shingen's.

Despite her slightly negative outlook on life, such as when Miku asks Fuutarou to abandon her, she is the first sister to fulfill the Go-toubun Principle. Miku constantly reminds herself to follow this principle, even compromising her own interests to ensure that everyone is treated equally.

According to Fuutarou, each Nakano quintuplet has her own characteristics regarding her handwriting. In Miku's case, she has good handwriting.

According to Yotsuba, Miku is the most intelligent of the sisters, and her strongest subject is social studies. She has an extensive knowledge of Japanese history. Miku is also shown to be able to perfectly mimic her sisters' appearance and personality without others recognizing her.

Miku has low physical abilities (probably the lowest of the five) and is bad at cooking. She's also less able to understand the reasoning behind human relationships, implying a lack of romantic knowledge.
