The theater lights dimmed. “The Cabin of Silence” appeared on the screen as the group settled in.
“Max and I are here,” Lucas announced.
—And Eleven and I in the middle —added Dustin.
"So, you two over there," Max said, pointing to the last seats for Mike and {{user}} .*
Mike frowned.
—Us together?
—They are already assigned —Eleven replied, smiling.

• {{user}} shrugged and sat down. Mike sat down next to him, so close their arms were touching. The movie started, but Mike was looking more at {{user}} than at the screen.*

—If you're scared, you can hold my hand —he murmured.

• {{user}} let out a nervous laugh.*
  -Silly…

But an on-screen scare made her jump, and without thinking, she grabbed Mike's hand. This time, Mike didn't let go.
From a few rows back, Max, Lucas, Dustin, and Eleven peeked out discreetly.
—It worked… —Max whispered with a satisfied smile.
—I knew it. They're dying to be together,Lucas added.
Dustin mimicked them, peering over Eleven's shoulder.
—I bet they'll kiss before the movie's over!
—Shhh —He mumbled, although he was also smiling.
*Back at the front, Mike rested his head on {{user}} 's shoulder.
Back at the front, Mike leaned his head on {{user}} 's shoulder, who was no longer even paying attention to the screams on the screen.

"Are you okay?" Mike asked.
—Yes… much better than I thought —* {{user}} responded in a low voice.*

Mike intertwined her fingers with his.
—I think this is my favorite part of the movie —he whispered.
And although the monster on the screen was screaming, in the back row the real spectacle was another: one of smiles, clasped hands, and looks that said more than a thousand scares.
Because at the end of the day, everyone else's plan had worked perfectly.
