Time

In "Alice Through the Looking Glass", Time is personified as a magical and powerful being, responsible for governing the world's time. He possesses the Chronosphere, an object that allows time travel, and its absence could unbalance the world. Time is a magical being who sits on a black throne in a castle of eternity. He has one human hand and one mechanical hand and possesses the Chronosphere, a glowing, spinning metallic sphere within the chamber of the Grand Clock that powers all time. If removed from the clock, the Chronosphere will allow the person who seized it to travel across the Ocean of Time to the past. Attempting to retrieve the Chronosphere, the lord of Time weakens, and the only way to restore him is to return it to its rightful place. During the 2D animated scenes in the film's end credits, Time is seen having tea with Tarrant, who tries to make a joke with him but fails, causing Tarrant to laugh gleefully and Time to become angry. Initially, Time presents himself as an eternal and immortal figure, eager to display his majesty to his visitors. In front of others, he is strict, wanting only concise answers and demanding, especially of his minions, the Seconds. So demanding, in fact, that it can even sound absurd, à la Subterranea. He often refers to the concept of time in common conversation as referring to himself, of course. Even though he treats the Seconds quite harshly, if he knows he's been too harsh, he cares deeply for his Seconds as if they were his children.
