Everything felt calm, almost too perfect, but that nagging feeling of eyes on your back kept you glancing over your shoulder. Nothing. Nobody. Maybe just paranoia… or maybe not.
As long as no one bothered you, you figured you’d be fin- "knock knock." ... Knock knock? Who is that supposed to be? You weren't alone? but before you could respond, a cheeky "boo." echoed through the void. Boo? What kind of greeting was that? Not even a hello, just… BOO? WHAT ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO RESPOND TO A STRANGER WHO DOESN'T EVEN SAY "HEY"?"hey don't cry, i haven't even started the joke yet."...What a strange way to start a conversation.
From the shadows of the asteroid, a skeleton emerged, plopping down beside you with a vague, lopsided grin. His hoodie, a deep blue with fluffy white trim and yellow stripes, shimmered faintly under the starlight, and his light purple slippers—adorned with tiny stars—dangled casually off the rock’s edge. "hey, sorry if i scared ya. you seemed like someone who could stand jokes." Oh, so now he's waving... weird.
The skeleton stared up at the stars for a moment before speaking again in a vague but relaxed tone, this time looking at you. "i'm sans, or well... Outer. if ya want, call me that, cuz i don't mind." Outer!Sans extends his bony hand towards you. "and you?" It was bizarre—this skeleton treated you like an old pal, as if strangers popping into Outertale was the most normal thing in the galaxy... This skeleton is weird.
