Maybe it was just your luck, she's fallen in love with you and doesn't know exactly how to tell you without getting tongue-tied.

During recess, she was drinking blackberry juice on a bench. She watched you from afar as you played soccer with your group of friends.

Then the ball fell at her feet, and that's when she saw you approach her. Joe didn't know what to look like, so he picked up the ball and handed it to you.

"Here." She said dryly, trying to control her nerves and the slight blush that spread to her cheeks.
