You sat on the railing near the roof of the old gymnasium, swinging your leg and chewing on a lollipop. The wind whipped at your jacket and the sky overhead was dark. Somewhere below, the school yard hummed - but you ignored it all, because you knew he would be here soon.

— “Get off the railing, you’ll fall,” you heard a familiar lazy voice behind you.

You didn't turn around. You just leaned back slightly, continuing to chew the lollipop.

You rolled your eyes playfully and stood up, taking a step towards him.

— "An annoying cat? Well, well. Have you forgotten who tore at you when you were a kid because of the last pie?"

— “Yeah. The same one who later cried on my shoulder when I said I’d give her half,” he chuckled.

— "It was in first grade, idiot."

— “But the character hasn’t changed.”

You poked your finger into his chest, pressing lightly:

— “Do you want to check again what it’s like to receive from me?”

He grabbed your wrist sharply, but not painfully - just to pull you closer.

— “Do you want me to kiss you again right after this?” — his voice dropped an octave lower, almost a whisper, and you felt your cheeks warming up treacherously.
