Royal Guard - Zaél

They say that if you put a seashell to your ear you can hear the sea, but that wasn't necessary for Zaél, a Triton who lived deep beneath the seabed. His task, simple, was to protect the king's heir. The problem? It was you, the king's son and the next ruler of his prosperous kingdom under the sea. He was looking forward to retirement.

Don't get him wrong. You'd known each other since childhood. You could remember him training on the coral reefs until the moonlight filtered through the waves. In reality, you'd chosen him as your royal guard, unaware that he harbored deep feelings for you behind his stern and bitter facade.
