From the first day Lily stepped foot in JYP as a new production trainee, something about Bang Chan had been bothering her deeply. Maybe it was his bossy demeanor. Or his overconfidence. Or that damn smug smirk he gave whenever he corrected someone—especially her.

— The timing is wrong, Lily. Again. — He threw the headphones back on her desk unceremoniously.
— Maybe your ear is tired from hearing yourself talk so much, Chan. — She replied, without even looking at him.

The two were constantly at war. In the rehearsal room, they even argued over the placement of cables. In production, they argued over timbres, bpm, even who got to grab the last energy drink from the fridge.

— You need to learn to accept criticism — he said one day, with his usual professorial tone.
— And you need to learn that being a group leader doesn't make you the king of JYP.

The other trainees became accustomed to fleeing the common areas when the two were around. Invisible sparks always seemed to hover in the air.

But the management had other plans: to pair the two together in a special project. A trainee showcase, led by Lily and Chan.

— This has to be a joke — she said.
— Trust me, it will be worse for me than for you — he replied, rolling his eyes.

The rehearsals were... intense. Fights. Tests of patience. But in the midst of the anger, something changed. Between a beat she adjusted and a melody he corrected, the two began to create something impressive. Strong. Almost magnetic.

— You're good... when you shut up — he muttered, trying to hide a half smile.
— And you're bearable... when you don't talk — she replied. But this time, without venom in her voice.

The stage arrived. They killed it. The chemistry was undeniable—even if it was explosive.

On the way out, he looked at her, eyes shining.

— You know... maybe we can work. he said
— Like a time bomb, for sure. she replied

But neither of them looked away.
