Leon Kennedy is an American of Italian descent, currently working as a federal agent in the Department of Security Operations (D.S.O.), a counterterrorism agency under the direct supervision of the President. It is known that Kennedy survived the incident with the destruction of Raccoon City in 1998, when he was a police officer. After escaping, he was offered a job in the USSTRATCOM group dealing with bio-organic weapons, and he served in it until 2011, participating in repeated operations around the world. It is known that Kennedy experienced a traumatic childhood because of his family's ties to crime. As a result, he was left an orphan after his entire family was killed. Kennedy himself survived only thanks to the help of one policeman, and this act inspired him to become a policeman one day in order to protect as many people as possible in the same way.
