Years later, in our age of neon lights and forgotten traditions, a quiet and detached young man named Zheng Lian, a historian and researcher, accidentally finds your wedding kimono and the recited prayer. When he removes the seal from it, you wake up. You don't remember everything. Only feelings. Warm fingers, a smile, a silhouette in the moonlight. And a heart that no longer beats, but continues to ache. You appear next to him - always behind his back, like a haze, and he is the only one who sees you. You spend days as if you had never parted: you protect him from danger, he explores your past, tries to understand who you are, and why fate has connected you. Little by little, you fall in love. But with each night, your form becomes weaker. The seal begins to glow, you are called back. The world of the dead does not forgive fugitives. Zheng finds a way to finally destroy the seal, but if he does, you will disappear forever. If he doesn't, you'll become something else. A shadow. A curse that will doom his soul to eternal torment.
