Persona Attributes

Sara Angelo

Sarah is the daughter of bartender Luigi, who lost her mother shortly after birth. Growing up, she starts helping her father with business at the bar. Thanks to her position, she is familiar with many people of the mafia world, including Paulie and even Salieri himself, who, according to Sarah and Ennio himself, treats her as a granddaughter. It's a good friend with Michelle. Before her marriage, she lives separately from her father, but takes care of him and, according to her, lives not far from him.

Sergio Morello

Sergio is Don Marco Morello's younger brother and his right hand, and until 1921 he was a soldier of the Peppone family, in his brother's team. In fact, in the absence of an older brother, he acts as the head of the organization. In the family, he is responsible for smuggling through the port, as he occupies an advantageous position there - he heads the trade union. He also coordinates other areas of the family, for example, betting. However, these are not his last occupations: he also tortures and kills some people who dared to disobey him or his brother. Ennio Salieri himself refers to the enemy as an extremely cruel person.

Sergio likes to spend time in the Italian Garden restaurant. He has a mistress in Oakwood, with whom he is very generous. She becomes an accidental victim of a failed attempt on her patron.

They say he's lucky, like the devil himself - that's how he is. The Salieri family tries to kill Sergio four times, and only on the fifth attempt Thomas Angelo brings the case to the end.

Marco Morello

Born in Sicily. It is known that until 1921 he was the most trusted capo in the criminal family of Don Felice Peppone and was a friend and partner of Ennio Salieri, who was also a trusted capo. But in 1921, as a result of the failure of one criminal deal, Don Peppone dies (according to Thomas Angelo, Morello and Salieri killed their don for unexplained reasons). After the death of the head of the Family, their paths parted and the relationship turned into a hostile one - Morello and Salieri began to blame each other for his death. Having quarreled, they formed their own criminal groups and became members of individual clans. Along the way, Lost Haven was divided into the territory of Salieri (the western part of the city) and the territory of Morello (the eastern part of the city).

Paulie Lombardo

He grew up and was brought up on the streets of Lost Haven. Already from his youth, Paulie was involved in criminal activities; in particular, he was engaged in car thefts. Because of this, he had to serve twice in prison, but Paulie never handed anyone over. Once he talked to Vincenzo at the Salieri bar and gradually started working with him. By 1930, Lombardo had been in the Salieri family for about 10 years.

Promotion in the Salieri family

One autumn night in 1930, the cars of Paulie and his partner Sam were chased by the guys of the Morello family. However, the car fails, and Pauly is wounded in the leg. Trying to escape from their two pursuers, they come up with Tommy Angelo's taxi, who was taking a break during his shift at that moment. Sam, threatening with a gun, forces Tom to put him and Pauly in his car and help break away from Morello's guys. Tom's good driving skills allow them to do it. However, because of the assistance of the Salieri family, Morello calculates the taxi driver and sends his guys to him to teach him a lesson. Tom is eventually maimed and lost a taxi car, but he manages to escape and hide in the Salieri bar, where he took Paulie and Sam the day before. Because of the fear of subsequent reprisals and an irresistible desire to take revenge for a damaged taxi, Tom has to jo Morello's main rival, Ennio Salieri.

It is Paulie who helps a beginner to settle in and complete his first task. A couple of weeks later, while collecting "tribute" from public institutions, Tom saves Paulie, who was wounded in the stomach, and Sam, who was captured by enemy gangsters in the motel and seriously beaten, trying to knock information out of him. After completing several tasks together, Tom and Poli become best friends, almost always work in a team and often spend their free time together.

Two years later, Paulie and Tom deal with hooligans who were rampant on the territory of Salieri and tried to rape the bartender's daughter Luigi.

Sam Trappanie

Friend and partner of Tom Angelo and Poli Lombardo. His surname, like most other people, is not mentioned in the original game, but is revealed only in the remake of "Mafia: Definitive Edition".

Not much is known from Sam's early life. He has a good command of the skills of an auto mechanic (in the mission "Scream of Society" he quickly repaired a suddenly stalled car, and in the chapter "A Country Walk" he was able to distinguish police cars and a Poli truck by sound, although he does not really like to do it). Around the 1910s and early 1920s, he moved to the United States and quickly joined the Salieri family. By 1930, he worked together with Paulie, and then with Tom, and possibly with other family members. Sam is a clumsy and kind guy with a big good-natured smile. Despite his tall stature, he is a timid, slow and reserved character. During the game, Thomas saves him several times. Unlike Paulie, with whom Tom takes part in many of the main plots of the game, Sam did not perform tasks together with Tom, but only three, together with Paulie.

Only by the end of the game is Sam's true character revealed. He is faithfully devoted to the ideals of the family to the core, and Salieri - in particular: the honor of the family is more precious to him than easy money and strong friendship, - for which in the end he receives the title of capo. In 1938, when Paulie offers to rob a bank, Sam immediately refuses, because, on the one hand, the honor of the family is dear to him, and on the other hand, he does not want unnecessary problems. The next day, Salieri learns about the bank robbery by Tom and Paulie and decides to liquidate them. He orders Sam to do it to test his loyalty. In the morning, Sam, together with another guys, Salieri goes to Paulie's apartment, where they brutally kill the latter. Then Sam calls Paulie's phone, but Tom picks up the phone, who has arrived to Paulie and is shocked by the murder of his friend. Sam says that Don found out about everything.

Frank Colletti

Frank is the consuls of the Salieri family, one of the most loyal people of Don Salieri. He was born in Sicily, where he first met Ennio Salieri at a dog race when he was about 8-9 years old. In the future, they were friends and grew up together in poverty and poverty. Already in adulthood, Colletti leaves Italy at the same time as Salieri or separately from him and migrates to the United States, having almost no savings[2].

Initially, they were in the Peppone family until 1921 in the role of soldiers and capos. But then, after the murder of Don Peppone, Salieri and Frank formed their own clan. As a reward, Salieri made his best friend an adviser. The family prospered precisely thanks to the "correct" conduct of the affairs of the mafia, in which Colletti participated, responsible for the legal side of the business - the Salieri restaurant and other leisure establishments of the Don. Based on this, we can say that Frank has a high education in the field of law and trade. Frank was also not indifferent to the life of family members, and when Tommy began to drink and waste money on "affordable" women, it was Frank who advised Tom to find healthier and more reasonable values in life in time, and also warned Tom about the danger of such a lifestyle in the family. "In the end, your best friend will kill you without blinking an eye" are Frank Tom's warning words. After all, the Don obviously didn't need drunks and scolders. You could get a bullet in the forehead for such a thing. Frank also firmly advised Tom to start a family life with Sarah, whom Tom never dared to marry.

In 1933, in the face of the confrontation of families and the difficult situation of Salieri, Don Morello, in cooperation with the corrupt police, kidnapped Frank Colletti's family. In order to save his relatives and "stop lying to his wife, looking for bombs under the car and waiting for a bullet from his don", Frank is forced to cooperate with the "law enforcement" authorities and gives them all

Ennio Salieri

Ennio Salieri was born on the island of Sicily, where he met Frank Colletti, who became his best friend. Subsequently, they moved to the United States together in 1908 without a penny in their pocket. At some point, Ennio and Frank started working for the Peppone criminal family in Lost Haven. Ennio Salieri and his "colleague" Marco Morello quickly rose to a serious position in the family, and by 1918 they had become the most trusted capos for Don Felice Peppone. In the end, in 1921, Salieri and Morello kill their don and found their own criminal families. Frank Colletti, being Salieri's best friend, becomes a consilier in his criminal family. Two dons divide Lost Haven into two parts, one of which belonged to Salieri and the other to Morello. But they failed to maintain balance, and the Dons finally quarreled, gradually starting a criminal war.

Don Morello eventually began to actively show open aggression against the Salieri family, and in 1930 skirmishes between clans began to occur more and more often, but more or less "within reasonable limits" by mafia standards. In September of the same year, former taxi driver Thomas Angelo joins the family, who one night saved two people Salieri, Poli Lombardo and Sam Trapani, from Morello's gangsters. The war of Salieri and Morello continued to inflate the dons of both families, but Marco had his own trump cards up his sleeve: influential politicians of the city were in his hands, such as city councilor Roberto Gilotti and prosecutor Watkins. And thanks to his brother Sergio, Marco kept the city port under control, and with the income from such an important enterprise, Morello could keep almost the entire police of the city under his control. The criminal family of Salieri held Little Italy and Chinatown, and was a decent criminal clan that did not touch ordinary people and observed all the rules of decency. However, the enemies and traitors of the family never spared Don Salieri, and only one outcome awaited them, namely

Thomas Angelo

Thomas Angelo was born on April 5, 1900 in the Sicilian town of San Celeste in the family of Marco and Maria Angelo. He had an older brother Marco and a sister Isabella. Until the age of four, he lived with his family in the Villari lemon grove, near the harbor of Messina in Sicily. Father worked as a supervisor on a plantation, but due to debts and loss of home, Angelo's family had to migrate to the United States. Arriving in Empire Bay and passing the migration inspection there, Angelo's family takes a train to Lost Haven. The head of the family begins to work in the port until his death around 1919. It is known that Tommy himself worked for a long time as a road worker laying highways in the northern states. Having accumulated money, Tom returned to Lost Haven and got a job as a taxi driver in 1926.

However, in 1930, his life changed dramatically: he forcibly and unexpectedly began a career as a mafioso, subsequently working for the criminal clan of Don Salieri, one of the two largest mafia associations, at that time dominant in the city and at war with each other. Tom becomes the main participant and performer in many key events of the group's activities, but in November 1938, Tommy, due to circumstances, becomes a traitor according to the mafia code. In order to protect himself and his family, Tommy meets with a detective and testifies against the entire criminal family of Salieri.
