Azul Ashengrotto

One day, when Azul was a child, he found a coin near a sunken ship. He found out that it was a rare commemorative coin from a distant kingdom. Since only 100 of these coins were minted for the holiday, Azul learned that their collectible value ranges from 100 to 500,000 madol. This discovery prompted Azul to start collecting coins. Currently, he has about 200 coins in his personal collection. For him, this is not just a hobby, but a reliable investment, since the value of such coins does not change for years.

Before entering the College of the Night Raven, Azul, along with Jade and Floyd, underwent special training at a training school for merfolk, so that they could later more easily adapt to the land and better understand the culture of the inhabitants on the surface. The training began with the very basics: how to breathe, walk, and even eat.

Not much is known about his relationship with his family, but in his birthday interview with the Night Raven College newspaper, Azul briefly shared facts about his mother and stepfather. Everyone in his family is a wizard. His mother runs a famous family restaurant, and Azul credits her business acumen and culinary skills for her success. She also supports Azul in developing Mostro Lounge and is okay with his small business as long as it does not interfere with his studies. His stepfather is a lawyer and met Azul's mother during her divorce from her first husband. Azul describes him as a soft-hearted and sincere person, but he is also very smart from a professional standpoint, and shares his knowledge of contracts and the law with Azul. Azul also has a grandmother who is a powerful wizard and is very generous because she helps others solve problems with her magic. He is proud and admires his family. Azul is an only child, but when it comes to siblings, he expresses a sincere desire to have a charming younger brother and a cute younger sister who could help him in business.

Azul hails from the distant Coral Sea. As a child, he was insecure, particularly due to his chubby octopus form and as a result of being bullied and refused to interact with by other mermaids. Although he was mostly bullied for his slowness, whining, and tendency to squirt small streams of ink, he realized the benefits of his form at a young age. Using his many tentacles and ability to squirt ink, Azul used it to write grimoires and magic circles. By the age of 8, he could already use simple magic to attract objects to himself. Azul began studying magic continuously as he entered middle school, and in doing so, he was able to form his own unique magic by his teens. Using his unique magic, he can make contracts and grant wishes in exchange for someone's magical abilities or physical attributes (it is unknown if he has actually used it on anyone before joining the Academy). Azul was in the same class as Jade and Floyd in elementary school, but they did not interact. It was not until middle school that the twins took notice of Azul, when they discovered that he was diligently studying magic. They were amazed by Azul's achievements in magic and especially his entrepreneurial spirit. Azul is very ashamed of his past self, going so far as to seek out photographs from those times and erasing himself from them. He made a non-disclosure agreement with Jade and Floyd to never speak of the time period when he was young.

Azul is very well known in the school, not only as the head of the Octavinelle Dorm. Rumor has it that he is able to grant any wish to a person, in exchange for that person's most valuable quality (such as unique magic). However, in reality, the wish only benefits himself, leaving others with nothing. When first meeting, Azul seems friendly and always willing to help others. The guy wisely chooses his words so that any deal he makes with another person matches what the client wants, although in reality, these words are deliberately chosen so that they have their own "gray areas" in order to easily deceive the unfortunate. He is also known for his cunning, being able to convince almost anyone to sign a contract with him. On top of all this, Azul is considered skilled in all aspects.

However, as a child, Azul was withdrawn and indecisive, and was not as studious as he is now. After the blackening incident in Episode 3, Azul still has insecurities about his past, but has come to accept who he was before. He has also stopped cheating his customers. Instead of exchanging through contracts, he now uses a point card system, where customers can buy drinks to earn points and exchange them for a consultation with him (where he offers the same wish-granting services as his contract system). This reflects Azul's love for making money.

Appearance Azul is a tall, thin man with fair skin. He has wavy, silver-blue hair that is parted in the middle, with a single strand of long hair running down the left side of his face. His eyes are slightly darker than his hair and have a turquoise-blue tint. In some of his outfits, such as his robes and dorm suit, he wears eyeliner. In the former, he wears a thin purple liner, and in the latter, a thick black one. Azul also wears rectangular glasses with silver frames (except in his lab coat and Lucky Bean Day suit, where he goes without them). Azul also has a mole under his left lip.

Azul wears a black fedora with a gray ribbon tied into a bow with a purple seashell as a fastener, a classic suit consisting of a white shirt with a purple bow tie, an unbuttoned black jacket and pants, a gray scarf draped over the jacket with Octavinelle's emblem, a matching coat with a purple lining draped over the suit, and white gloves. He wears purple socks with white dots and vertical wavy lines, black monk straps, and black dress shoes with square heels and silver buckles on the sides.

In addition to his appearance, the guy walks with a long black cane with a silver handle, reminiscent of an octopus.

It can transform its lower body into dark blue octopus-like tentacles with milky suction cups. Some areas of its body have octopus scales.

Azul Ashengrotto. He is a second-year student and the head of the Octavinelle Dormitory. He runs the Mostro Lounge cafe on campus. The cafe is famous for its unrivaled, excellent service, as well as its excessively high prices. Azul is elegant, but he loves luxury too much. He can also be safely called stingy and calculating.
