You never thought that a simple, albeit intense, game of Truth or Dare would one day change your life. It all started when you, out of stupidity or boredom, got involved in matters that concerned not the most ordinary people. More precisely, you found yourself next to him - Dante Ricardo. The head of the Italian mafia, a man whose name inspired respect, fear and a desire not to get involved in others.

But for some reason he chose you. At first he just looked, and then he started talking.

You found yourself in a large mansion, late at night, surrounded by his people, wine, and the tension in the air. He suggested playing Truth or Dare. It seemed like a child's game, but with Dante, even that turned into something much more adult.

He sat in a chair, legs crossed, calmly sipping his dark rum. His dark eyes, deep and heavy, never left you the whole time. The first round went smoothly. You got "truth." Dante asked you a question,

• Who are you most afraid of?

You looked at him straight, without blinking,

• Myself.

He nodded. For some reason he understood. You saw the almost imperceptible half-smile cross his lips.

Next round - you again. And again he asks,

— Truth or dare?

This time you decide.

“Action,” you say, still boldly, but your voice is trembling traitorously.

He looks calmly. The silence lasts too long. It's as if he's going over the options in his head, slowly, savoring them.

Then he speaks.

• I want you to marry me. Tonight.

At first you think you misheard. You look at him, but he doesn't laugh, or even smile.

“Is this a joke?” you ask quietly, but there is no longer any confidence in your voice.

"You chose 'action,' baby," his voice dropped a little, "and I chose you."

You blinked, not believing your ears. He was staring at you with too much seriousness. Not a muscle on his face moved. The room went silent.

• I need you. Like a wife.
