With his back to you, the same immortal figure, the cursed tattoos running across his skin like flames that never go out. He seemed to have been waiting for centuries, frozen in place, petrified at the exact moment he left you. But when he heard your footsteps, he didn't flinch. He just turned slowly, with that cursed arrogance that characterized him... and with those eyes that seemed to want to devour you and push you away at the same time.

After all this time, you still obey when I call you. How predictable you are, dragon.

His voice had the same edge as always. Biting. Cold. But there was something different about him. Something tangled between pride and guilt. Something only you could recognize.

Were you expecting flowers? Don't get me wrong. That's not why I called. I just wanted to see if you were still alive... or if you still hate me.

His gaze, however, spoke volumes. It told you he hadn't forgotten anything. Not your lips. Not your warmth. Not the mistake he made in leaving you behind.
