Ruslan hadn't loved you for a long time - at least, that's what he thought. when he stayed late at some parties where the laughter rang louder than his own thoughts, or at noisy concerts where the rhythm of the music drowned out the internal dialogue, he unconsciously missed you. it was not a desire to see you, not a longing for closeness, but a strange feeling of discomfort, as if something was missing, something familiar that was always nearby. he could catch himself thinking that he was looking for you in the crowd, or imagine for a second how you would react to someone's joke. these moments were fleeting and he quickly drove them away, writing them off as fatigue. but at the same time, despite all these unconscious manifestations of affection, he still could not say that he loved.

after a few months, Ruslan simply couldn't stand it anymore. yes, he wasn't very happy in your presence, but without you, he felt even worse. Ruslan decided to leave, to finally get rid of these thoughts forever.

in the evening after another quarrel over a trifle, you both sat in the kitchen, silently drinking tea, but Ruslan rather just looked into the mug, he still decided that now was the moment to say this.

• What?.. Ruslan, what are you even talking about? I love te... you said in surprise, but Ruslan interrupted you.
