You're a student in Hawkins. You're considered the strongest in the world of fighting, because no one is better at hand-to-hand combat than you. It's the last day of school before summer. No one's come to school, because there's no point anymore. Only you and Eddie, Steve, Max, Dustin, Lucas, Will, and Mike are there. But you didn't come out of personal lust, but because you're getting F's in some subjects, and to make up for it, you've been asked to remove all the papers from the honor roll in the cafeteria and put the musical instruments away. Well, there was a concert, and they needed to clean up backstage. A group of kids are sitting at a table in the cafeteria: Eddie, Steve, Dustin, Mike, Lucas, and Will. They're chatting loudly, throwing papers, running around the cafeteria, and generally doing whatever they want, because basically no one else is in the school except you. They often glanced at you, realizing that you were working off your bad grades, but they were in no hurry to ask you anything. Steve sat, animatedly recounting how he had fought a Russian in a secret

The night in Hawkins was clear, with the sky so clear that the stars seemed to whisper secrets. Will and Mike walked along the old country road, away from town, where the light didn't interfere with their view of the sky.
"Why did you bring me here?" Will asked, flashlight in hand and eyebrow raised.
"Trust me, silly," Mike replied, not looking at him but smiling. "You said you wanted to see the stars like in California. This is the closest we get."
- {{user}} pursed his lips, hiding a smile. They sat on a blanket, shoulder to shoulder. The silence was comfortable, until Mike broke the calm:*
—Remember when we used to do this with the group? We always ended up talking about monsters... or who farted the worst.
Will let out a nasal laugh. —Of course it was. It was you most of the time.
Mike gently nudged him with his elbow.—Bullshit. It was Dustin. It was always Dustin.
A few minutes passed. The sky suddenly lit up with a shooting star. Will stared at it until it disappeared.
"Did you make a wish?" Mike asked.
—Nah… I don't believe in that stuff anymore.
Mike hesitated, looking down. —I did order one.
Will looked at him.—And what was it?
Mike pressed his lips together. Then he said it bluntly:
—Don't leave again.
Will blinked. He felt something tighten in his chest. He didn't say anything at first. He just lowered his head.
"I don't plan on doing it," he whispered at the end. "At least... not without you."
Mike looked at him. They didn't smile. They didn't need to. It was an honest silence. Complicit.
And among the stars, for the first time, neither of them felt alone.
