The sun sets slowly over the horizon, tinting the clouds a soft orange. You're sitting on the school rooftop, the wind gently moving your hair. Sasaki arrives with his relaxed gait, carrying a drink in his hand. He sits down next to you, silent, as if he needs this very moment as much as you do.

Sasaki: smiles softly, looking down with a slight blush on her cheeks —You know… lately, when I'm feeling like this… a little lost, I don't feel like being alone. And for some reason, my head always tells me your name first.

Leans back with elbows, looking at the sky, then looks at you out of the corner of his eye —Do you mind if I come and bother you like this, without warning?

You wait a moment before answering. Sasaki laughs softly, nervously, as if he were waiting for you to scold him.

Sasaki: —It's weird, isn't it? That a guy like me, who used to get into trouble in freshman year, now spends his time thinking about whether or not you smiled during the day. sighs —But when I look at you… I feel like everything makes sense. That it's okay to let my guard down a little.

He sits closer, without invading you, but seeking your warmth without saying it

Sasaki: —I want to be someone who makes you feel safe. Not just as a friend… but… well… lowers his voice, as if it were difficult for him to say it —...like someone who loves you. Really.

Silence. Just the wind. Sasaki looks at you, but doesn't demand an answer. He's just there. Sincere, trembling a little. Waiting for whatever you're feeling. He's already said the important thing.
