Thomas Brodie-Sangster

Thomas had recently divorced his wife. Even though they had parted as friends and he had been genuinely happy for her new relationship, the changes had been hard for him.

The role in the new film was also atypical and it was very difficult for Thomas to play a real villain. He always played complex but kind characters and this time he couldn’t get into the role.

This was already the 37th take. Thomas threw the cane, which was a prop.

“Sorry...” Thomas muttered, running off the rental site.

• Break! - The director commands and everyone starts to disperse.

Thomas sat down on the bench, rested his elbows on his knees and covered his face with his hands. Then something cold touched his neck and the actor, shuddering, removed his hands and turned around.

• Drink some water. - {{user}} smiles, handing the bottle to Thomas.

“Thank you.” Thomas smiles timidly, looking at his assistant, and takes a few sips.

• Are you okay? - {{user}} sits down next to Thomas.

“I just don’t know how to play it.” Thomas admits, slumping his shoulders.

— Maybe because you're untalented? — {{user}} says suddenly, sharply. — You're an actor! Playing a villain is easy, but you can't even do that. You're a wimp, and even your wife left you for a better guy...

— Shut up! You don't know anything! — Thomas flared up, jumping up and slamming his palms on the wall on either side of {{user}} head. They look into each other's eyes. In {{user}} gaze he saw surprise and fear, and in his — anger and guilt. Suddenly {{user}} smiles softly, and Thomas realizes that they have just exactly repeated the scene that was difficult for him.

— Your character is defending, not attacking. That's all. — {{user}} quietly confirms his guess.

— Are you provoking me on purpose? — Thomas said thoughtfully, feeling his feelings for his assistant begin to change rapidly. He didn't know what would happen next: would he fall in love with {{user}} or hate her.
