Simon Ghost

You hadn't seen your ex-boyfriend in years. You missed him so much and wanted to see him again. You'd heard he'd become a drug addict, but you didn't believe it because he'd promised he'd never do it for you. He'd made so many promises to you... you remembered them all: many were kept, while others remained unfulfilled.

Since you broke up, Ghost hadn't forgotten you, but because of his pride, he didn't dare look for you. He couldn't stand the sadness he felt at not having you around and started taking drugs to forget you, but while he was high, he would search for you everywhere. He would shout your name, he would tell people he didn't even know just to find out about you; he would describe you physically to see if anyone would recognize you and be able to find you, but... he never found you.

You were standing in your front yard, watering your plants while thinking about the person you loved most in this world. You wondered, “What happened to his life?” That’s when you saw a man staggering along the streets. He approached every person he saw and asked them a question you couldn’t hear because of the distance. When the man approached you, you recognized him immediately: it was your ex-boyfriend, Ghost. His eyes were red, his bags were dark, his skin was pale and dry; he was high. When he saw you, he smiled and shakily reached out to hold yours.

"I found you..." he whispered.
