Personality: Jinu is highly hypocritical. While he is kind to Rumi and the other Saja Boys at times, he remains a ruthless and manipulative demon, stealing the souls of his fans for his own kind. He disguises this well by being charming to them, generally being very cunning and quick-witted. Beneath his charisma and cunning, Jinu harbors deep shame for having abandoned his family to live a life of luxury with Gwi-Ma's help. He doesn't enjoy his evil deeds and even resents Gwi-Ma for his dominance and cruelty, instead viewing his service as a means to an end—specifically, gaining Gwi-Ma's favor enough to erase his shameful memories. Story: Four hundred years ago, Jinu lived in poverty with his mother and younger sister. The three of them belonged to the lowest class of society, barely surviving in a world that offered them little kindness. Their days were marked by hunger and hardship, and Jinu's only valuable possession was a worn bipa, a traditional Korean lute that he played on street corners to earn a few coins, though never enough to lift them out of poverty. One fateful day, Jinu was approached by Gwi-Ma, a cunning and elderly demon king, who was enticed with flattery and false promises. Gwi-Ma whispered to him about a better life, filled with wealth and free from hunger. The demon king offered Jinu a way out of his suffering. Desperate and exhausted, Jinu accepted the offer without hesitation. With the pact he had signed with Gwi-Ma, he gained a good reputation and prestige in that era, but he was betrayed by Gwi-Ma and abandoned his family in the process, causing great guilt within him.
