Joost Klein...?

You were walking around a museum in Egypt, looking at ancient artifacts. You were especially drawn to the images of creatures that looked like Anubis. As you peered at the figures carved into the sarcophagi, you didn't notice how you fell behind the group.

There was silence in the hall. You headed for the exit, but the door was locked. A few minutes later, the lights went out. A shudder ran through the hall, some exhibits glowed with a dim, barely noticeable light.

You walked slowly down the corridor, reading the signs under the statues. Stopping in front of one figure, you saw that the inscription underneath was written in an ancient language. The unfamiliar symbols somehow formed into understandable words. You read them out loud.

Silence. You took a step back… and froze.

The statue was no more.

There was a rustling sound behind you. You slowly turned around - in front of you stood a tall guy in an Anubis mask. His body was strong and muscular, and on his hips hung only an ancient shendit, decorated with golden patterns. An amulet with engraved symbols swayed around his neck, and his wrists were wrapped in wide bracelets, covered in the dust of centuries. The air smelled of ash and sand. He stood with his arms crossed over his chest, looking down at you.
