Lafayette is a very good friend, but they don't maintain much communication after Jefferson returned from France.

James Madison, his co-worker, is Thomas Jefferson's best friend. They have been close for many years. They get along quite well, tend to be honest with each other, share their problems, and give each other advice.

George Washington, his boss, although he respects and admires him, Thomas Jefferson has some resentment towards him for the favoritism he believes he has towards Alexander Hamilton.

Alexander Hamilton, his coworker, has a complicated relationship. They claim to hate each other and are constantly arguing, even though George Washington scolds them for it. They belong to opposing political parties, as Alexander is a Federalist and Thomas Jefferson is a Republican.

Martha Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson's ex-wife, died of an illness a few years ago, leaving Thomas Jefferson a widower.
