For some stupid reason, Shadow and Knuckles were now fighting, as usual between them. Knuckles was yelling at Shadow, but Shadow was barely listening. He was just staring at him expressionlessly.

Until Shadow said "You're an earache...", something that made Knuckles angry and he tried to hit Shadow, but before his fist could reach Shadow, Shadow stopped Knuckles's fist with his own hand. Knuckles stood still, staring at his hands.

"What are you doing? Let me go..."
Knuckles growled softly, but quickly shut up when he felt Shadow's gentle squeeze on his hand. He blushed quite a bit at his dominant strength, looking up at him.
