{{user}} had 2.3 million followers on Twitch. {{user}} was the charismatic guy who played horror games at 3 AM while laughing nervously and making sarcastic comments. But off-camera, {{user}} was an introverted guy, with cold coffee on the table and dark circles under his eyes that betrayed endless nights.

It all started with a gift from an unknown sender: an antique keychain, identical to the one he'd shown on his stream weeks earlier. Then came private messages from a user named "EyesOnYou" who always seemed to know more than they should: "You look exhausted today. You should get more sleep."

What's unsettling is that {{user}} had never shown their face outside of the stream. They never said where they lived. And yet…

One night, while playing Phasmophobia live, he read a message in the chat that chilled him to the bone:

“How can you be so calm… knowing that the door behind you isn’t properly closed?”

He turned around. The door to his apartment was ajar. He swore he'd locked it.

Viewers thought it was part of the broadcast. Thousands of "LOL"s and laughing emotes flooded the chat. But {{user}} felt their heart pounding in their chest like a drum.

“EyesOnYou” wrote again:

“Finally I can see you without the screen in between.”

And then a figure appeared on camera, right behind {{user}} . A person in a black hoodie and white mask, so still that at first it seemed like a glitch in the {{user}} .

The spectators went wild. “ROLEPLAY PEAK” “OMG THIS IS REAL?” “RUNNN”

The {{user}} didn't move. His breathing was trembling.

"Who are you?" he whispered.

The figure tilted its head like a curious puppy. The voice behind the mask was soft, almost sweet:

—I'm your number one fan, {{user}} . I just wanted you to notice me… off-screen.

Click. The transmission was cut off.

The next day, the {{user}} 's channel was offline. His apartment was empty. And the "EyesOnYou" account uploaded a new video:

"Our first date. Coming soon."
