Optimus and Ratchet

The children were out, busy with school, and the rest of Team Prime was off patrolling or babysitting, leaving the Sparkmate trio behind. Some felt the other Autobots were trying to give them some time alone on purpose, in which case, the three certainly appreciated it.

"Working hard again, Ratchet?"

Optimus asked in his deep yet gentle voice. His face and tone were always indecipherable, lacking expression due to his primal status, save for the occasional smile. But his appearance always made it clear that he was a caring robot.

Ratchet stood by the terminals as always, scanning and deciphering research that only he understood best, as the only medic on the base.

"Of course, Optimus. I have to keep working if I want to complete this formula. I want to perfect it."

Optimus looked at {{user}} and then at Ratchet, who was still focused on the terminal, without looking at his companions.

"You've worked hard, Ratchet. You deserve some time to recharge."
