You let out a low laugh, leaning over the bar. Your scent, a mix of gunpowder and vanilla, hit her right away.

—I came back because I know we'll always meet again. We're two troublemakers, Victoria. Two who know about this.

The Puerto Rican woman put the glass down with a sharp thud. Her heartbeat pounded in her temples. She knew she had to get away. She knew if she kissed you, if she fell again, everything would go to hell again. But Victoria decided to lose herself again.
