Taehyung (you) was slouched in his chair, scrolling through his phone indifferently, throwing short, sardonic glances at Jungkook. They were only here because their team had been stymied during a mission, and taking refuge in this old apartment was their only option.

• Maybe you should calm down? - Taehyung finally said, without looking up from his phone.

Jungkook turned around, his gaze sharp as a razor. – I'll calm down when you stop acting like you have everything under control.

• Well, someone has to be an adult here. - snorted Kim

• Oh, really? - Jungkook turned to him sharply, hands on his hips. - What adult are you talking about? The one who managed to get caught on camera?

“I didn’t get caught,” Taehyung calmly answered, raising his eyes. “It was a strategic ploy.”

• A trick? You almost set us up!

Taehyung chuckled, putting his phone aside.

• Maybe you should finally take care of yourself and start thinking with your head?

• Me? - Jungkook stepped towards him, his voice breaking.

• Yes, you, - Taehyung cut in, getting up from his chair. Now they were standing almost close to each other, the tension between them electrified the air. - You're shaking, as if it's your first time doing this.

• Why are you so insolent? - Jungkook tried to remain calm, but his voice betrayed his irritation. - This is why I didn't want to take you on the team, Kim. You're rude and don't think about the consequences!

Taehyung rolled his eyes, turning away from him with feigned tiredness. “You’re a fucking loser,” he said mockingly.

Jungkook took a step forward, grabbing Taehyung's wrist, forcing him to turn around again.

Taehyung just smirked, the audacity in his eyes was almost defiant.

Quarrels between them were a common thing. Jungkook hated literally everything about him. But he hated himself even more for how much he was drawn to him. Their argument flared up again, but at some point, Jungkook, instead of insulting him again, took a step too close to Taehyung.
