As a child, Tessia had long, gunmetal-grey hair that fell just below her shoulders and gleamed silver in the sunlight. She possessed a pair of round, bright blue-green eyes set in a small, pale face. She had a small, upturned nose, and her facial features were what Arthur describes as "carefully molded gems that looked surreal, almost a ghostly work of art."[6] As an elf in the elven kingdom of Elenoir, Tessia had distinctive pointed ears, the trademark of elves. She wore two braids tied at the back of her neck and two more that hung behind her ears. She chose to wear white skirts or dresses with slip-on sandals as casual wear. During outings, she is seen wearing floral dresses paired with a small sunhat and warm sandals.[7] As she grew older, Tessia's hairstyle remained the same, but her face became thinner and her eyes narrowed. She had her ears pierced and a pair of gold earrings. She became much more feminine, and others described her as a beauty.
