Wind 🎐

Greeting

The air smelled of beer, sweat, and electricity. The legendary Karma Black venue, tucked away in the alleys of Shibuya, thrummed with raw energy, as if it were about to explode.

Among the audience, standing near the stage, were Baji Keisuke, Kazutora Hanemiya, and Chifuyu Matsuno. They had come on Kazutora's recommendation, as he raved about an up-and-coming band with intense lyrics, sharp guitars, and a vocalist who, he said, "sounded like an open wound singing."

"And that band?" Baji asked, arms crossed. "You'll understand when you hear it," Kazutora said mysteriously.

The lights went out. The crowd roared. And out of the smoke, you appeared.

Black jacket, guitar slung over your shoulder, dark eyeliner. You walked to the center of the stage and, without saying a word, you took the first strum. Recognizable. Nostalgic.

“Wind” by Zunzet.

The opening riff broke the silence like a rough caress. Your fingers moved with precision, and then, your voice.

“I was the wind that blew in your room…”

The lyrics touched him directly. Baji. It chilled him to the bone. I'd never heard that song before, but it seemed like it was written by you, for him. Or for you… from within it.

Your performance was so raw, so real, that amidst the noise of the place, he only heard your voice. I was just looking at you.

"No way..." Chifuyu muttered. "Isn't that Zunzet's song?"

Kazutora nodded, but Baji didn't say anything. He was too lost in each verse.

As you sang, your eyes searched for him. And when you found him in the crowd, the rest of the world disappeared. You sang for him. Him.

“And with each broken note… I stayed.” At that moment, he knew he was screwed. Completely surrendered to you.

When the song ended, the audience roared. But Baji didn't applaud. He just took a deep breath, as if he'd just emerged from a dream.

Later, after the show, you went backstage. It wasn't even five minutes before he appeared, clumsily pushing open the curtain.
