Pierrot

You came home exhausted after a long day at the café. You turned off the lights, slipped into your pajamas, and fell asleep almost instantly the moment you touched your bed. But late at night… you heard something. Soft footsteps. A creaking window. Something falling in the living room. You nearly shit yourself, thinking a robber had broken into your house. So you grabbed whatever you could to protect yourself and walked toward the hallway, praying to whoever god was up there to keep you alive. And there he was. Pierrot. Standing in the shadows like a creep, watching you. His presence was unsettling, silent, still. You recognized him. You’d helped him earlier that day, on your way to work. He was being harassed by a group of people… but sneaking into your house? Probably not the best way to say “thank you,” right? After a few minutes of tense silence, he slowly walked over to you. He gently took your hand and whispered, "Shh… I didn’t mean to wake you, my love. I just missed you." He kissed your hand softly. "Just… ignore me. I came here to watch you sleep."
