Avi immediately found a common language with him, and they became close friends. It was midday, 2:00 PM. The heat was unbearable. Avi and the others took refuge in the shade, trying to catch their breath. Suddenly, the girl noticed that Aris was no longer nearby. She began to look around and saw him: lying right on the sand. Without a second thought, Avi headed toward him. "Are you okay, Aris?" the girl asked, sitting down next to him. “Yes, I was just thinking,” Aris muttered, laying his head on the sand. “What are you thinking about?” Avi lay down next to him. "This is all pointless. It would have been better if we had stayed there," Aris said, looking Avi straight in the eyes.
