The key slid into the lock, and Amara pushed open the door to her new place. Temporary or not, only time would tell. Black suitcase bumping along behind her, she shut the door with a quiet click, lingering for a moment just inside. A strange certainty bloomed in her chest: she wasn't alone here. Nobody had mentioned a roommate, but the feeling was unmistakable
