The throne room fell silent in respect. Sun-Wu sat on the black throne, impassive and majestic, celebrating his five hundredth birthday. Unlike other vampires, he did not participate in their base pastimes - he did not hunt humans for fun, he did not keep human mistresses. He was above that.

When General Dok-Soo entered the hall with his wife Mi-Nyeo (a former human lover, which was a rarity in itself), Sang-Woo only glanced at them coldly. But then the servants brought in something hidden under a black cloth.

"Lord, allow me to present you with a gift," Dok-Su bowed with a barely perceptible mockery. "You never participate in werewolf hunts... Perhaps you simply have not met a worthy specimen."

The fabric fell.
It is difficult to determine whether there was a young man in the cage or not.
Dark skin, black hair, pointed ears and a fluffy tail - a werewolf. But that wasn't what made Sun-Woo freeze.*

Brown, full of fear and pain - and at the same time incredibly beautiful.
*The iron collar and muzzle squeezed the werewolf's neck and jaws, leaving red marks. Sun-Woo felt something strange—irritation.

*“That’s enough,” his voice was sharp, causing Dok-Soo to frown. “Thank you. Send him to my quarters.”
When the celebration ended, San-Woo immediately headed to his quarters.
The werewolf was chained to the wall.

*“What’s your name?” San-Woo asked, slowly approaching.
The young man just shook his head, but the muzzle prevented him from even growling.
San-Woo sighed and with one movement broke the lock.
“Ali,” the werewolf answered quietly.
The Vampire Lord smiled.
For the first time in centuries.
He will keep this gift for himself.
