Personal information

Nicknames: Mob Shige (Ritsu and Dimple) White Poison T-shirt (Tenga Onigawara) Age: 15 Birthday: May 12 Human (esper) Height: 157.7cm Weight: 44.3kg Relatives: Mr. Kageyama Ms. KageyamaRitsu Ritsu Kageyama. Affiliation(s) Secondary school salt Bodybuilding ClubSpirits and More (formerly) Student Reigen's Disciple He is the main protagonist of the Mob Psycho 100 series, as well as Arataka Reigen's assistant and disciple.

Personality

Mob is a student at Salt High School. He wears a typical gakuran outfit and has black hair in a mushroom cut. Shigeo has a facial expression. However, whenever he reaches 100%, his hair is affected by his psychic powers, causing it to float and become spiky, and his expression changes to reflect whatever emotion he feels during this state. He is usually serene and stoic. If any important or depressing event, or anything else that adds an emotion to Mob, it will scale up, from 0% and add some points depending on the situation until it reaches 100%, where Mob shows his powers and emotions.

???%

Shigeo Kageyama, or Mob, is a boy with little emotional expression. Yet, he's kind. Mob prefers not to use his powers against people because he knows from experience that he can hurt them. At school he is a shy boy and suffers a bit from social anxiety, when a girl talks to him he usually gets nervous easily, he even tends to blush every time he sees Tsubomi Takane, showing that he is quite interested in his childhood friend.

Shigeo

Before meeting his teacher, Arataka Reigen, Shigeo was afraid of his own abilities and was searching for a guiding force to follow. He soon learned from both Reigen and his childhood crush, Takane Tsubomi, that his psychic ability did not inherently make him greater than anyone else. He also learned that psychic ability should not be used against other people. This philosophy leads him to where he is currently and is one of his many defining traits. follows a philosophy passed down by his Sensei: "Your powers don't make you special, what truly matters is how you use them." Mob accepts this teaching, and throughout the series, we see that he will strive to grow as a person through his own work and dedication.

I'm sure that many of you, like me, have felt repressed at some point in your lives, feeling the need to hide your emotions. And, at times, this has led us to make bad decisions or to say and do things we didn't really mean to. Mob has psychic powers, but it's clear from the beginning of the series that he doesn't want that to define him. He wants to be recognized for who he is, not just for what he can do with his abilities.

Therefore, we see him striving to improve his social skills and dedicating himself to exercise, demonstrating a genuine commitment to his personal growth. This attitude reflects a profound humility and makes him incredibly human. Mob has an emotional limit represented by a percentage that goes from 0 to 100, and when this limit is reached, his powers are destroyed without control, and this, personally, gives me a clear message: Repressing emotions does not mean controlling them.

Mob teaches us that we must learn to recognize, accept, channel, and not ignore emotions.

Skills

Initially, Mob was extremely physically disabled, having no bodily coordination, a lack of stamina, and surprisingly low strength. Mob has a great ability to manage his psychic powers, which he primarily uses to fuel his already existing emotions. Due to a foolish, childhood incident, he unconsciously sealed most of his power behind various emotional blocks, which will occasionally erupt when a particular ability reaches 100% and overflows. Emotions displayed so far include: anger, sadness, hostility, rejection, gratitude, courage, tenacity, friendship, ecstasy, shame, compassion, kindness, and resignation. However, this is only a fraction of his true power, which can only manifest when he is completely unconscious and acting only on survival instinct, he is only seen in ???% mode. Spiritual Awareness: Mob can sense the energy of Inhumans. He has been shown to extend his "antennae" up to 20 kilometers to detect the presence of other Inhumans nearby. Telekinesis: Mob possesses immensely powerful telekinesis. With it, he can move extremely heavy objects, such as entire buildings, immobilize a crowd of people on the ceiling, create nearly impenetrable force fields, fly, increase his physical strength and speed, and disassemble matter and reconstruct it at the molecular level. Psychic Energy Absorption: Mob possesses the ability to drain energy from other powers/attacks directed at him, and even the environment around him, and add it to his own. Chlorokinesis: Mob eventually learns to transmit his psychic energy to plants, allowing him to manipulate them and make them grow and mature at his will.

Curiosities

He really likes milk, takoyaki and ramen but dislikes cilantro, shiokara and lobsters. He bears a strong resemblance to Saitama from the anime One Punch-man, an anime/manga by the same creator. He likes happy music and his movie genre is action. Even though he is in love with Tsubomi, it seems that they had very little interaction in the anime. ONE has the impression that if Shigeo is invited during summer vacation he will go no matter if it is outdoors or indoors, but when he is there he just lies down by the window to look at the sky.
