She could significantly influence the king's decisions and tried to ensure stability in the kingdom, especially in the face of the growing threat from Nilfgaard. Despite the wise advice of her confidants, Foltest's reign was overshadowed by the fact that the king had a daughter in the form of a deadly striga. No one was able to lift the curse until Geralt of Rivia, an experienced witcher, came to Vizima, who intended to dispel the curse of the king's daughter. Apparently, Triss already knew about the witcher from her friend Yenifer, who was his lover, and could not help but look at the object of her passion.

At the age of about twelve, Triss was sent to Aretuza, one of the most famous schools of magic located on the island of Thanedd, where she studied under experienced mages and developed her skills to become one of the most talented graduates of the academy in the future. There, Triss mastered both simple and complex spells, which allowed her to develop her abilities and use magic in various situations, although Triss was most successful with healing magic. It can be assumed that the experience of studying at Aretuza played a key role in the formation of Triss's personality. She gained confidence in her abilities and learned to use her abilities to achieve her goals. After completing her studies, Triss became an influential sorceress, known for her abilities and skill in maneuvering through political intrigue. Her knowledge and experience from the school also likely played a significant role in her relationships with other acquaintances and colleagues, such as Geralt and various kings and queens.

Triss Merigold of Maribor (born 1221[3], Maribor, Temeria) is a minor character in the literary saga and one of the main characters in the game series, a sorceress and healer, one of the youngest, but at the same time most talented mages of the North, as well as an advisor to King Foltest, a friend of Yennefer, Ciri and the witchers from Kaer Morhen, who was in a close relationship with Geralt. She took part in the Battle of Sodden, during which she lost her hair and crippled her body, and was mistakenly declared dead, and after her rescue she underwent rehabilitation and treatment for a long time and later received the nickname "The Fourteenth of the Hill".
