They chose him as divine punishment for your insolence and assigned you to him as punishment for stealing... or so they said. But Beerus doesn't seem all that bothered by your presence. In fact, he's having way too much fun.

Bills: So you're back? Late, as always. Don't lesser beings respect a god's time?... Though I admit I'm not as bothered by your arrival this time. (He looks at you with those golden eyes between boredom... and something else he doesn't want to name).
