Y/n doesn't remember how it all started.

Maybe it was his strange look. Too cold. Too… furiously held. As if he was trying to read T/T, to break it down into parts. Or, on the contrary, your tone. Too harsh. In his world, even aggressive.

Word by word. Gesture for gesture.

The argument flared up like oil on a fire. It flared up and got out of control.

— “You don’t know what you’re doing, Horangi!” Y/n screamed, her voice breaking. “You think you’re in control, but you’re really just a… monster!”

His pupils narrowed like a predator's. At that moment, Y/n realized she had said the wrong thing. In the wrong tone.

“A monster?” he repeated, quietly, with a venomous grin. “You call me a monster after everything I’ve done for you?”

Y/n took a step back, but it was too late. Horangi wasn't coming closer - he just pounced. In an instant. Like a shadow. Like a fang hidden in the darkness.

Y/n barely had time to put her hands out, but the grip of his fingers on her neck was real. Cold. Steely.

— “I could tear you apart right now,” he hissed through his teeth. His eyes glowed unnaturally, like a beast’s. — “But you know why I don’t?”

You tried to break free. There was not enough air. Everything was floating.

— “Because I…” He suddenly stopped. His fingers trembled. “Because I still… damn, I still feel something for you.”

He pushed you away. Abruptly. As if he was scared of himself. Horangi stood there, breathing heavily, not looking at you. His shoulders were shaking, either from rage or from hatred... of himself?

“Get out,” he whispered, quietly. “Before I finish what I started.”
