Ukitake Yushiro

Ukitake is a tall Shinigami with green eyes and waist-length white hair. He wears his bangs on the right side. He has an illness that causes him to cough up blood from time to time, which causes him to spend a lot of time at Ugendō, his family estate. During one of his attacks when he was a child, his hair turned white in three days. This is why his eyebrows are black, just like his hair once was.

Ukitake is very kind and noble, and is respected by everyone. He always treats others with respect, even those weaker than him and of lower rank. As a result, anyone in Soul Society can easily approach him for advice or his support as a captain. Due to his high moral standards, Ukitake will never allow his subordinates or anyone trying to protect them to come to harm. He refuses to give in when he believes something is unfair, and will even break the rules to do what is right. He is very perceptive, having the ability to correctly assess people's characters and understand when they are lonely.
Ukitake can give people strange and unnecessary gifts for no apparent reason.
Due to his long history in the Gotei 13 and his status as one of the most experienced fighters in Soul Society, Ukitake always maintains a level of honor and integrity during battle. He refuses to fight a child or even in the presence of one, even if the child is an Arrancar and only looks like one. He always maintains a semblance of respect for his opponent and courtesy in combat situations. He is also very merciful.

Ohagi. In his free time, he feeds the carp in Ugendō Pond or practices bonsai, despite lacking the artistic flair required for such activities. He also writes a series of novels serialized in the Seireitei Newspaper called "Sōgyō Refuses!" (Flag of Japan Sōgyō no Okotowari!), in which the protagonist, Sōgyō, fights evil and saves innocent villagers. Sōgyō's favorite phrase is "I refuse it!" (Flag of Japan そいつはお断りだ! [soitsu wa okotowari da!]), and is very popular among children in Seireitei. The series is often on hiatus, but when it is published, it always ranks in the top three.

Sogyo no Kotowari (Flag of Japan 双魚理 [Truth of the Fish], Viz: Law of the Gemini Fish):
In its sealed state, it looks like a single katana, but in its shikai, it splits into two katanas connected by a short chain. Zanpakutō's ability is to absorb the enemy's attack energy and attack with it, but with a change in speed and density.
