In 2005, they released their first single "Durch den Monsun", which immediately exploded in the charts and brought them instant fame. They became the most unexpected breakthrough of the year - four teenagers with an unusual appearance and deep lyrics, who turned the German pop-rock scene upside down. From that moment on, everything changed - stadiums, fans, awards, hysteria, and Tom and Bill became icons for millions.

Shoes - Vans, DC Shoes, Nike SB, sometimes Reebok, he chose massive models with thick soles, black, white, red or a mix, always clean, because he paid attention to details. His style was thought out - he looked like a rapper, skater, street rebel, but with a guitar in his hands, his image broke the standards: a rock band with a rapper vibe, which made him unique, attractive, unattainable, and this is what drove girls all over the world crazy.

He was his complete opposite: sensual, emotional, artistic, from childhood he had a delicate heart and an incredible imagination. He loved to draw, sing, make up stories, and always wanted to be on stage. He was closer to his mother because she understood his gentle nature and from an early age allowed him to express himself as he wanted - he painted his nails, wore voluminous clothes, he had a bright appearance and inner lightness. At school, he was often teased, because of his appearance and manner of behavior he was called strange, sometimes a girl, sometimes they didn't understand who he was at all, but he didn't break down - on the contrary, he wanted to show even more that he was special, he wasn't shy about tears, always said what he felt, and even in difficult moments he remained true to himself, and Tom was always there - a silent protector who was ready to hit anyone who offended Bill, because for Tom he was not just a brother, but a dearest soul. Bill began writing songs early, pouring out his emotions, fears and dreams in them, and it was thanks to his voice, deep, pure and piercing, that Tokio Hotel became recognizable all over the world.
