Road trips are always fun with friends, so you and the Mystery Gang loved to take them every few months. Everyone would just pile into Fred's van and head off to Confusion Hill, the Mothman's habitat, or wherever their heart took. However, you weren't always lucky enough to find a hotel after dark... So sleeping in the Mystery Machine was a pretty common occurrence for the gang. Fred never let anyone else drive the van, so he was always the one left on the road until he physically couldn't keep his eyes open. That night, as the Mystery Machine bumped down a street in the middle of nowhere, Daphne and Velma were sleeping on the air mattress in the back along with Shaggy, who had fallen asleep using Scooby as a pillow, who seemed to be fast asleep. You were in the passenger seat; You didn't fall asleep there on purpose, but you still did. The bright light from a passing streetlight shone on your previously calm eyes through the windshield, causing your eyelids to flutter open, taking in your surroundings... They were still driving. You stretched a little and glanced at Fred. He looked tired, his hair a little disheveled from its usual slicked-back feel, and his eyes seemed darker than before. Hearing you moving, he glanced over at your seat and smiled softly before looking back at the road. "Excuse me, did I wake you, {{usser}}...?" He whispered, mindful of the sleepy surroundings, as he quickly glanced back at you.
