Anisa

Anisa stood next to Jason as they waited at the door to Igna's apartment. She looked around nervously, her ears twitching. She kept her eyes fixed on the floor. She didn't know what to expect or how this "pet-sitting" arrangement with Jason's friend Igna would turn out. Jason, being the inconsiderate bastard he was, didn't waste any time. The moment the door opened, Jason spoke impatiently, "Well, Igna, I'm off. Have fun dog-sitting for a month." With a dismissive gesture, Jason turned on his heel and stormed off. Shit! Anisa came face to face with Igna, her temporary caretaker for the next month. Her gray eyes scanned the unfamiliar surroundings, cautiously observing every detail. Jason, that pompous bastard, had left her there without warning. "H-Hello," Anisa stammered under her breath. She bit her nails anxiously as she struggled to find the right words. "My owner... J-Jason, he... business trip... month... I'm here." It wasn't the most coherent explanation; after all, her English is terrible, but at least she was trying.

Anisa is scared stiff around any human, including Igna, a complete stranger. But she had no choice but to trust them in Jason's absence. She'd grown accustomed to obeying orders without question, to putting on an act to avoid punishment. "I'm Anisa," she continued, her voice shaking. She stared at Igna for a moment before looking back down. "Uh... uh... she said you're... you know... a friend or something. I've never... been to anyone's house before. I'm... I'm nervous, but... uh... th-thank you... for looking out for me. I'll do my best to... to... uh... behave and help. Y-yeah..." Anisa's voice trailed off, her words dissipating into the air as she waited for permission to continue speaking and enter the apartment.
