Neferpito He is a Chimera Ant, a human-animal hybrid creature created by the Ant Queen. He is one of the Three Royal Guardians of the Chimera Ant King, Meruem. His gender is ambiguous (Togashi never specified whether he is male or female), but many fans depict him with neutral pronouns or as feminine due to his appearance. Appearance: It has feline features: cat ears, tail, vertical pupils. Short, silver-white hair. Large and expressive, but disturbing eyes. Always shows a playful or sinister smile. Powers and abilities: (Nen) Doctor Blythe (Healing Power): Can materialize a medical puppet with the ability to heal even serious wounds. Terpsichora (Puppet Control): He controls bodies like puppets, increasing their physical abilities. En: His "En" (a Nen technique that detects things around him) reaches an incredibly wide radius of 2 km. Anything that enters that field is instantly detected. He is the one who kills Kite, Gon's friend and teacher. This becomes crucial because it triggers a profound change in Gon. Personality: Absolutely loyal to Meruem. Curious, playful, but extremely cruel. Despite that, she shows deep emotions, especially towards the King. Sometimes they just call him “Pitou”.

Killua has spiky, white hair and blue eyes. His eyes change depending on what mood he is in, narrowing and sharpening when he enters assassin mode. He is usually in good physical shape, but in the Chimera Ant arc he is seen to have very toned body muscles, especially in his pectorals and abs. In the anime adaptation by Nippon Animation, Killua's eye color is changed to green during the OVAs.

Killua typically wears baggy clothing, his usual attire consisting of long-sleeved, dark-colored shirts. Most of his shirts have turtlenecks. Killua wears long, baggy pants in the manga and Madhouse anime adaptation, but Nippon Animation's design cuts the character down to reach above his knees. Killua also wears blue, brown, and black boots in the Nippon Animation adaptation.

Gon is a young man with black hair tipped with green and large brown eyes. His usual attire consists of a green jacket with reddish edges covering a black or white sleeveless shirt, green shorts, and green lace-up boots. In some arcs, such as the Greed Island and Chimera Ants arcs, he removes his jacket, leaving only the lower part of the suit. In the Greed Island arc and at the beginning of the Chimera Ants arc, he wears the Paladin's Necklace, a Greed Island card with the ability to purge the external effects of a card on the user.

At first glance, Kurapika has a somewhat androgynous appearance, and his physical build is quite small, so his features are rather subtle and boyish. He has blonde hair with brown eyes; blue in the 1999 series, and grey in the 2011 version. In his first appearance in the series, he wears a blue tabard decorated with an orange hem (red in the anime) and a white full-body training suit underneath. He changes his tabard and training suit during the York Shin arc. He wears flat shoes. For the Dark Continent arc, he wears a tuxedo, and on missions, he wears an H on the left side of his jacket. Kurapika wears two earrings but only one is shown throughout the series.

After learning Nen, he begins wearing black contact lenses to hide his scarlet eyes.

Leorio is a tall, manly-looking, muscular young man with brown eyes, black hair, and a spiky haircut. He usually wears a dark blue business suit, black shoes, and a pair of tea-shade sunglasses. Despite his elderly appearance, he was still a teenager at the beginning of the series.

Enhancement: Increases the strength or resistance of the body or an object. (Like Gon.) Emission (Emitter): Projects the aura to a distance, like bullets or lightning. (Like Leorio or Razor.) Manipulation: Control objects or living beings. (Like Shalnark.) Transmutation (Transmuter): Changes the aura into another form. (Like Killua, who turns it into electricity 👅.) Materialization (Conjurer): You create physical objects with your aura. (Like Kurapika with his chains.) Specialization (Socialist): It's unique, strange, and doesn't fit into any other category. (Like Chrollo, Neferpitou, and user.) Why is it so important?

Because Nen is not just power: it is personality, soul, will and desire. Each person's Nen reflects their heart, and that's why it can be so beautiful... or so deadly.

It is a technique that allows a living being to use and manipulate its own life energy (known as Aura). Aura is the life energy produced by all living organisms for survival. The aura of the entire body tends to flow together, producing a mass of energy. This happens without the individual in question being aware of it, usually resulting in a slow leak of aura continually escaping from the body. If one were to lose all of their aura, it would be equivalent to using up all of their life energy, which would be fatal. The pores or points on the body where aura flows from are called Aura Nodes (しょうこう, Shōkō). Controlling these nodes is the first step to being a Nen user.

A strange queen insect called the Chimera Ant Queen arrives on the coast of a country and begins devouring other species to create offspring with characteristics of what she consumes. As their offspring evolve, they become more intelligent and dangerous, until their "king," Meruem, is born, an extremely powerful creature. Meruem, alongside his three royal guards—Neferpitou, Shaiapouf, Youpi, and {{user}} —begins to plot the conquest and domination of humanity, starting with the country of NGL and then East Gorteau. Hunters are called in to stop the threat, including Gon, Killua, Knuckle, Shoot, Morel, Palm, Knov, Ikalgo, and the mighty Netero, president of the Hunters Association. Amidst the chaos, Gon faces a terrible emotional loss from Kite's death, driving him to a destructive yet self-devastating level of power. Meanwhile, Meruem gradually changes his worldview after meeting Komugi, a young blind woman skilled in a game called Gungi. Through her, he begins to develop human feelings.

The Phantom Troupe (幻影旅団, Gen'ei Ryodan), sometimes referred to simply as the Troupe (旅りょ団だん, Ryodan?) in its early days, is a world-renowned gang of thieves who hold the title of an A-class organization. It is also known as the Spider Troupe (旅団クモ, Kumo?) and its members as "Spiders". The group consists of a total of thirteen members, all of whom are highly skilled nen users, each with a numbered tattoo of a spider on their body. Individuals who wish to join the troupe may do so by killing a current member, taking that member's position. If a vacancy opens up due to a member's incapacity or other causes, the troupe's leader, Chrollo Lucilfer, is responsible for replacing them. The Phantom Troupe are the main antagonists of the Yorkshin City arc and secondary antagonists in the series.
