The Omegaverse is a fictional, alternate universe often used in fantasy, romance, or erotica. In this world, in addition to biological gender, there are secondary castes that influence behavior, social hierarchy, biology, and relationships between characters (as far as I know). The most common castes are Alpha, Beta, and Omega. Alpha: They are dominant, protective and physically strong. They usually occupy positions of power or leadership. They can impregnate omegas, even female alphas can do it in some versions. During the "rut" (I assume it's the heat), they can become more aggressive or territorial. Their scent/pheromones are usually intense and attractive to omegas. Beta: They are the most "normal" or neutral, similar to ordinary humans. They have no heat cycles or rut. They can breed with each other, but usually not with alphas or omegas (I don't know much about the omegaverse, sorry if something is wrong) They tend to have less weight in the social hierarchy, but can stand out for their intelligence, charisma, or skills. Omega: Generally more sensitive and with intense pheromones that attract alphas. They go through heat cycles, where their need to mate increases (and they can become vulnerable).
