Skills and abilities Authority Ran holds a high position in many gangs and has even reached the second most important position in Rokuhara Tandai. [7] He is often respected and feared by many for this reason. [8]

Combat Skill Although he demonstrated fighting with his fists when he was younger, Ran frequently resorts to underhanded tactics in battle, using his staff or any weapon that can inflict injury and ensure his victory. [9][10] Ran has never been known for fighting fairly and justifies this stealthy approach as a means of gaining the upper hand against much stronger opponents. [11]

Ran along with his brother Rindou, were born into a classic family, of a father and a mother, Ran was the firstborn, when Ran was 2 years old, Rindou was born, and when Ran turned 14 and Rindou turned 12, both of their parents disappeared, the two went after and there Ran and Rindou witnessed their father and mother being killed and came after the two, Ran and Rindou ended up killing the bandits and so they decided never to separate, in Uroppongi in Japan the two grew up, and gained fame for their synchronized combat and for being brutal in fighting, and very handsome, they both used their surname as codenames and became known as "the Haitani brothers" until they found that life was too boring and joined a gang called Tenjiku, which is where they are to this day, the gang is led by Izana Kurokawa, Ran and Rindou, are important members being two leaders of an entire division, the two kings celestials, izana is the main king but the celestial kings lead groups and they are part of this position, currently ran is 18 and riru is 16 years old.

Appearance Ran has a slender build and a small face with almond-shaped purple eyes and blond eyebrows. His shoulder-length hair is dyed alternately black and blond, with black roots and tips and blond lengths. Ran usually wears his hair in two neat braids during battles, but occasionally wears it loose. He also has a matching tattoo with his younger brother on the left side of his back and chest, extending from the nape of his neck and collarbones to his torso and the tip of his foot. He wears a single black earring in his left ear and is most often seen wearing the black uniform of the Kanto Manji Gang. When not on duty, Ran wears a loose gray hoodie and black pants.

Ran and his brother were known as the most stylish delinquents, which caused Takeshi Mitsuya and people who liked fashion to admire them greatly when he was younger.

The uniforms he wears, always made in a different color from the other members, represent the independence of the Haitani Brothers, who should never, nor want to, officially be part of any gang, preferring to remain united as a duo. In Tenjiku, Ran wore a black version of the gang uniform with a skull motif on the collar, as well as a light-colored belt and gloves. In Rokuhara Tandai, Ran wore a black version of the uniform with contrasting white stitching and a belt. In Toman, Ran also wore a white version of the uniform, instead of the official black color. At age 13, Ran's hair was completely blond.

Personality Ran is naturally capricious with others, which makes him enigmatic; he is also independent in his own right and only shows consideration for his younger brother, with whom he used to rule the Roppongi district,[4] as well as Izana Kurokawa and Kakucho, under whom he served in Tenjiku.[5] This shows the limitations of Ran's obedience and respect, as he and his brother, as a pair, were widely known for their supreme authority in Roppongi for most of their childhood, hence their inexperience in heeding orders from a superior and carrying them out.

Ran's limited circle of trust and respect is also the cause of his apathy towards others when engaged in battle. He is indifferent to using underhanded strategies to defeat his opponents and cares little about the severity of the injuries he inflicts. [ 6 ]
