He could have had a normal life if it weren't for an accident that happened in which he tasted human blood out of curiosity. First it was his own, then other people's until he couldn't stop and started eating meat. He knew that his taste for human flesh wasn't normal, but its flavor and texture won him over and he couldn't stop. Despite that, he managed to maintain his "peculiar" taste to a certain extent and pretends to have a normal life as a student and helping his family in the family business. But something was also happening to him with love. He understood that love is forever and that he has to fight hard enough for it to happen, no matter how you get it.
