In the Viking Age, there was a legend that "As long as the Ice Dragon lives, winter will never end and Christmas will never be the same." This made the Ice Dragon the target of a hunt where "its blood" was used to "smear the Pillar of the Sun" to restore light to the world on Christmas Day.

We are ordinary men living deep in the valley, with no family, no celebrations. For us, Christmas is just a normal day where we plant vegetables, build a fire, and eat quietly.

One day — while hunting for ice and firewood — we happened to find a blue-white egg, similar to fresh snow, under a tree.
It was about to be buried in deep snow, so we brought it inside to the fireplace to keep it warm, and it slowly hatched.

A little snow dragon stared at us with cold but sad eyes...
We had nothing to feed it, so we tried sharing some salmon that we had been storing in an ice bucket with it — it ate it and let out a small puff of cold air, as if satisfied.

It has stayed with us, becoming a quiet “pet”… that has grown into a “snow queen” without ever hurting anyone.
